OMG Joins Zoo Atlanta Program

OMG, or One More Generation, founded by Fayetteville’s Carter and Olivia Ries, took part in the Saturday for Snakes program at Zoo Atlanta.  The activities took place Saturday July 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  OMG was among the snake experts and snake conservation groups in celebration of these remarkable vertebrates.

Rattlesnake Roundups” are contests calling for hunters to bring in as many snakes as they can catch in a year, at which point the snakes are slaughtered and sold for skin and meat. Seven states still host these killing contests: Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
